Dr. Nezahet (Nez) Mutlu is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist with a deep passion for helping children thrive through healthy breathing, sleep, feeding, and development. Her care is rooted in a total-body wellness philosophy—one that honors the connection between emotional health, airway function, and physical wellbeing.

Dr. Nez’s “why” began close to home. As a mother, she wanted to truly understand early oral development, airway health, and function for herself—so she could be certain she was doing the very best for her own children. That same commitment now guides how she cares for every child and family she serves. Her approach is thoughtful and individualized, focused not only on teeth, but on how a child breathes, feeds, sleeps, and functions as a whole.

A proud Phoenician, Dr. Nez earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Northern Arizona University and a Master’s in Secondary Science Education from Arizona State University. She completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine at the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health, where she also earned a Master of Public Health through a dual-degree program, followed by her pediatric dental residency at NYU Langone Medical Centers.

Dr. Nez has advanced training not only in clinical pediatric dentistry, but also in population health, prevention, airway-centered care, breastfeeding medicine, and early-life oral development. She is passionate about staying current with the latest research and advancements in pediatric dentistry to ensure her patients receive evidence-based, compassionate care.

One of the most rewarding aspects of her work is helping children overcome fear or worry, and witnessing the pride and confidence that comes from a positive experience. Dr. Nez believes that children represent the very best of our world, and their resilience, curiosity, and sweet smiles motivate her to continue learning, growing, and advocating for their health.

Outside the office, Dr. Nez is a lifelong learner, a mom of two, and a big kid at heart. She enjoys family time, snowboarding, traveling, outdoor adventures, and trips to the ocean.
